At approximately 9:09 p.m., police responded to a call about a disorderly person at the brewery. Upon arrival, they found a patron had been stabbed, and the suspect had fled the scene. The victim was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The Hunt for Justice
A collaborative effort between the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Collingswood Police Department led to the identification of 27-year-old Tahaa Elmogahzy, a resident of Camden, as the suspect. Elmogahzy was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division just two days later.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Elmogahzy faces serious charges, including first-degree attempted murder, third-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. He is currently being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
